My second home.
A big part of my heart belongs to Iceland. How much learning and growth this small country has given me!
This magical land of photographic possibilities has been very important in my professional and personal growth. All year long I wait for the moment when I travel back to my home in the north.
I have had the opportunity to visit Iceland about twice a year for 4 years now, exploring little by little its innumerable beauties. Guiding photographic groups in the area and also showing other photographers everything the country has to offer.
In spite of having climatic and geological characteristics completely different to those of my tropical land of Costa Rica, the similarities between both countries surprises me. No army, an economy based on tourism, use of renewable energy, among many others.
The main attraction: the power of its nature. The glaciers, waterfalls, lava fields, lagoons, caves, rock formations and the sublime Aurora Boreal make this a privileged, peaceful land of kind people.
I wanted to share with you some of my recent photographs and favorite moments from the latest trips.
I hope throughout my life, to continue exploring this gem of the North Atlantic, chasing incessantly its polar light and capturing the ephemeral moments.
