It all started as a challenge.
Photographing the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica is always difficult because it usually hides its impressive size under a dense layer of clouds. So we decided to face the challenge and explore the area of La Fortuna and Arenal in San Carlos. Pursuing the best hours of light and new angles to portray the “colossus”.
For three days we explored different sides of the volcano, the lake, and the iconic La Fortuna waterfall. Adapting to the weather, the rain, the clouds and finally the sun.
The beauty of Arenal is overwhelming and being able to see it clear of clouds is always impressive and captivating. This area is rich in landscapes and you can visit countless times that the photos will be different every single time.
Arenal always leaves me wanting more.
I will continue to pursue it, trying constantly to capture the essence of this icon of the Costa Rican landscapes.
