In Canada, I decided to become a landscape photographer.
A few years ago when I was visiting for the first time, its spectacular nature transformed me.
It was a very important turning point for what my life is now. I have had the privilege of visiting several times and it always fills me with peace and wonder.
Last autumn I explored the Canadian Rockies once again but this time, guiding two groups of Latin American photographers during the Photography Workshops I was teaching in the area. It always gives me joy to show the beauties of the world to people who feel passionate about nature and about capturing all its magic through photographs.
During autumn, the forest explodes in color and the glacial lakes show their characteristic turquoise waters. The perfect fairy tale scenario with deer, elks, moose and mountain goats. The Aurora Borealis even decided to appear and illuminate the night sky.
It was an honor to be able to share these weeks with so many Costa Rican and Latin American photographers who accompanied us on the expedition. I feel that Canada has been helping me and seeing me grow as a photographer and as a person.
I never really leave these lands, they are always present inside me.
