Welcome to the Intensive Landscape Photography Workshop in Lofoten Islands, Norway. Designed for nature lovers and those who are drawn to powerful and remote landscapes. For those seeking to take their skills to the next level. For adventurers eager to explore the world and its most dramatic locations.
The Lofoten Islands are a pristine paradise in the Norwegian Arctic. This wild and untamed set of islands are every photographer’s dream. Their impressive rock formations, fjords and crystal clear turquoise waters, create the feeling that this archipelago was taken out of a fairy tale. Also known as the Arctic Caribbean, Lofoten is the jewel of the Norwegian landscapes, which is a bold statement given Norway is a country known for its natural wonders.
Winter is the ideal moment to photograph these islands, with the snow covering the mountains and the northern lights dancing in the nordic sky far away from any city. The main focus of the workshop is landscape photography, which is why we’ll be in constant search for the best light, so prepare yourself for long days hunting sunrises and sunsets as well as the magnificent Aurora Borealis. But we’ll also be in the search for arctic animals and we’ll visit the most important rescue center in the area, to have a face to face encounter with the spectacular nordic wildlife.
During the workshop we’ll explore and photograph as many islands, beaches, fjords and fishing villages as possible, covering much of its territory and landscape. All the islands are connected by bridges and tunnels. We’ll make the journey through one of the most scenic routes in the world, known for its impressive views. The magical winter scenery in northern Norway will be our home for 8 days.
Live a different experience and explore with us the Lofoten Islands.
Come and join the adventure!
We’ll fly towards Evenes International Airport (EVE Harstad Narvik) in northern Norway. We’ll begin our adventure by transporting ourselves to the village Evenskjer, where we’ll spend the first night. The next day, we’ll start our journey towards Reine in the Lofoten Islands.
We’ll start our day travelling north to visit the Polar Park, where we’ll learn about this arctic wildlife refuge and photograph a lot of species of the region that have been rescued and are in a process of being reinserted in their environment.
Then we’ll travel south towards Reine, Lofoten. We’ll drive by countless of fjords and stop to photograph many of the magical landscapes these islands have to offer.
Our day we’ll begin very early, photographing the sunrise in the Hamnoy and Reine islands. During the day we’ll explore different white sand beaches and the different and spectacular locations of Moskenesøya, iconic scenery of the Lofoten Islands.
Today we’ll explore the crystal clear waters of the Flakstadøya islands, as well as its impressive beaches and fjords. We’ll visit the frozen lake of Storvatnet and the magic fishing village of Nusfjord, hidden among snowy mountains.
The Vestvågøy island contains countless spectacular locations, including the mesmerising Utakleiv beach as well as Unstad, known by the arctic surfers who are constantly chasing the strongest waves in the northernmost areas of the world.
We’ll capture the sunrise in Sakrisøy with its crystal clear turquoise waters and its orange coloured houses that are reflected in the water. We’ll also photograph the racks where the famous codfish are dried, the characteristic fish of these fishing islands. “There are no words to describe this wonderful trip! Luis’s and Alvaro’s professionality. The warm friendship between all of us made this new experience something very hard to forget. The friendship that was born from this trip is something we need to nurture! We didn’t only learn, we also had a great time. That thrill and excitement we felt with the first aurora and the music that made us cry when seeing it. Thanks for so much!”

“This week I’ve lived a dream and I’ve shared it with a group of people that proved to be so nice, so funny and so great travel partners that I’m already sad about our adventure ending. Together in our bus, we’ve traveled hundreds and hundreds of kilometers, getting to know the most spectacular landscapes, in the search for the best locations, the best light, the most beautiful photographs, and we had the blessing of seeing our dreamed auroras. We’ve eaten deliciously and enjoyed so much. I would repeat this experience a thousand times more! Thank you Luis, for this wonderful week! Thank you Alvaro, and thank you my travel partner friends. I carry with me memories that will accompany me all my life as well as very pretty pictures.”
“We’ve traveled to Iceland and Norway with this company and it went VERY well! Wonderful trip, impeccable organisation, guides with deep photographical knowledge and great disposition to teach. Also, very enthusiastic! 100% recommended.”
“This was my first time participating in an International Photography Workshop and I’m certain it won’t be the last time. Thank you ToTheWonder, for making this a unique and gratifying experience. Thanks to you we managed to capture the right moments in the optimal conditions, always in the search for the magical moment. Simply spectacular!”
“I’ve taken plenty of workshops with Luis and Alvaro, and I highly recommend them! It’s not the same to sit in a classroom to learn about photography, and to travel with photographers like them to take photographs, learn techniques, tricks and spend time with other photographers. Also, contrasting many other teachers, Luis and Alvaro don’t event take photographs during the trips, they are completely dedicated to supporting the participants. They’re always available. Highly recommended workshops!”
Victor Alvarado Alfaro

I’m already eager to participate in the next workshop!”
“Meeting Luis and Alvaro was a dream come true, and realising that beyond being great photographers they’re also super friendly, pleasant and excellent when sharing their knowledge, made me love photography even more and lead me to strive to eventually become at least a fraction of what they are, they’re my role models and I deeply admire them, and here I’ll remain, trying to go to as many tours as I can with you, thank you very much!”
